Repair Fair at the Denver Tool Library!

On a yellow flyer, the words "REPAIR FAIR" in white sit atop the page. To the right of the word "repair" is a small drawing containing a blue string that connects two broken heart pieces together. Underneath this title is a blue bar with the bolded details of the event on a blue background: August 17th, Sunday, From 2-6pm. Photos of item categories, such as jewelry, appliances, bicycles, furniture, and clothing, are below the event details with pictures of each item. At the bottom of the page reads "bring your broken everyday items, such as toasters, bicycles, pants, and more, for free repairs by local volunteer fixers!" The bottom corners include a QR code for registration and the Denver Tool Library logo.

The Denver Tool Library is putting on our first Repair Fair from 2-6pm on Sunday, August 17th, 2025. This is a free event where community members can bring broken everyday items, such as toasters, bicycles, pants, and more, for free repairs by local volunteer fixers. Registration is now open for those who need a fix and we are still looking for folks with fixing skills, especially in our jewelry, small applicance/electronics, and sewing machine categories.

Overall, repair fairs offer a chance to learn valuable skills, reduce waste, and connect with your neighbors. No repair experience is required as our fixers will guide you through diagnosis and repair of the items you bring in (limit two items per person please!). Hope to see you there!

P.S. we plan to make this first fair extra fun so that we can expand this program to a seasonal offering and paid opportunity for fixers!
